Seine-Saint-Denis possesses extraordinary creative and human potential, yet youth from working-class suburban neighborhoods too frequently confront structural barriers to credentialed employment.

Our non-profit association actively dismantles these hurdles by coupling paid civic service contracts and pedagogical positions with subsidized professional training (including the BAFA, BAFD, and BPJEPS certifications). We do not recruit sales or advertising staff or marketing representatives; every position is dedicated 100% to our public interest mission of expanding youth recreation and health equity. All membership fees and dues are fully reinvested in the association's public interest missions.

The Mentorship Commitment: How We Support Your Growth

Working at ASSOCIATION VACANCES 93 is not an isolated task; it is an immersive professional apprenticeship. Every Civic Service volunteer and junior educator is paired with an experienced senior mentor—a veteran physical educator, municipal social director, or association officer—who conducts bi-weekly coaching sessions.

During these sessions, you will analyze challenging pedagogical scenarios, refine your communication skills, and develop your personal professional project (Projet d'Avenir). By the end of your mission, over 85% of our civic service alumni successfully transition into full-time employment in municipal public services, educational institutions, or sports federations, or gain admission to specialized university degree programs.

Fully Subsidized BAFA & BAFD Educational Sponsorship

A major hurdle facing aspiring youth animators in Seine-Saint-Denis is the financial cost of certification: a complete BAFA training cycle often costs between €800 and €1,200 across private training institutes, placing it out of reach for low-income youths.

ASSOCIATION VACANCES 93 eliminates this financial obstacle through our Educational Sponsorship Fund. Selected candidates sign a pedagogical commitment pledge: our association finances 100% of their base theory training and specialized practical sessions (outdoor navigation, aquatic safety, or winter sports). In return, trainees complete their practical internship hours within our municipal facilities or residential summer camps in Bobigny, Saint-Denis, and the Vercors.

The Three-Stage Candidacy Selection Process

To ensure a transparent, meritocratic, and welcoming recruitment experience, all candidates proceed through three standardized evaluation milestones:

Phase 1: Administrative and Values Screening. Our pedagogical directorate reviews applications within five working days, assessing candidate alignment with republican values, youth safeguarding awareness, and community motivations.

Phase 2: Collective Role-Play Workshop. Shortlisted candidates participate in a two-hour group workshop held at the Hôtel du Département. Candidates collaborate on real-world youth animation scenarios—such as resolving playground disputes, organizing inclusive basketball drills, or assisting a homesick child at camp.

Phase 3: Individual Pedagogical Interview. A thirty-minute dialogue with the Human Resources Committee and an active youth delegate to discuss mission expectations, mentoring support, and personal career goals.

Accreditation Details and Alumni Career Progression

ASSOCIATION VACANCES 93 holds official national accreditation from the French National Agency for Civic Service (National Accreditation Number: SC-93-2024-00812). Our pedagogical training curricula are registered and audited annually by the Regional Academic Delegation for Youth, Engagement, and Sports (DRAJES Île-de-France).

Over the past five years, 114 young people have completed our Civic Service program. Longitudinal survey tracking reveals that within twelve months of mission completion, 54% secured stable municipal employment in public recreation and sports departments, 31% enrolled in advanced degree programs in sports kinesiology or social education, and 15% were retained directly as permanent staff members within our expanding network.
